
Alan Sahin, born in 1995 in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland, is a filmmaker whose work is inspired by the quiet, often overlooked moments of everyday life.
Alan studied film at the Zurich University of the Arts from 2016 to 2021, graduating with his short film "Smoke Break" (Zigipouse).
His most recent film, "Going South" (Im Stau), has been screened at prestigious festivals such as Visions du Réel in Nyon and the Busan International Film Festival in South Korea. The film was also nominated for the Swiss Film Award.
Since 2025, he’s as a board member of the Directors & Authors Association ARF and the short film association Pro Short.
